One day, he took me to fish, too. In autumn, fish have grown up. It is the best season to fish. First, we chose a good place. Then my father helped me put an earthworm onto the fishhook. Afterwards, I threw the fishhook into the river. I waited for a long time. Suddenly, I saw the float sink. I was very happy. I pulled it out of the water but I only saw half of the earthworm. The fish played a trick on me. I was very angry. But my father said to me, “it takes time. You need to be more patient.” I tried again. A few minutes later, I caught a big fish and I showed it to my father. My father praised me, “what a good angler you are!”

Tt is known to us that the exam is the main method to measure the students'knowledge in school.But nowadays this method is almost be-coming the only way to judge the students'ability and knowledge.
If this method is over-used,I believe it will do us more harm than good.For one thing,too many exams keep the students from reading widely,because the students are forced to prepare the lessons to be examed.Their knowledge can only be narrowed within few text-books taught in class.For another,the exam itself encourages rigid memoriza-tion instead of initiating the students'creativtiy and individual thinking which will be of great importance in their future work.
So we can conclude that too many exams are not good to the stu-dents.Some measures should be taken to lessen the students'burden.Remember the main purpose of the exam is to urge and encourage the students to learn more.
我們知道考試是學校檢查評定學生知識水平的主要方法。如今這種方法幾乎成了判斷學生能力與知識水平的唯一手段了。
如果這種方法濫用，我相信這將會弊多而利少。理由一，太多的考試阻礙了學生廣泛地學習，因為學生必須復習那些考試的科目。他們的知識也只能局限于課堂上講授的那幾本書。 理由二，考試本身鼓勵了死記硬背，并沒有倡導學生要有創(chuàng)造精神，要獨立思考，而這些正是他們將來工作所必需的。
因此我們可以講，太多的考試對學生并沒有什么好處。應該采取一些措施來減輕學生的負擔。要記住考試的主要目的是督促和鼓勵學生去學習更多的知識。
