This first Santa Claus was still known as St. Nicholas, he did smoke a pipe, and fly around in a wagon without any reindeer, but he did not have his red suit or live at the North Pole, he did however bring presents to children every year.
In 1863 He was given the name Santa Claus and bore the red suit, pipe, and his reindeer and sleigh.

記得有一次上完英語課后，老師心平氣和的對(duì)我們說，下一節(jié)課我們要玩一個(gè)非常好玩的游戲。頓時(shí)，安靜地教室突然像炸開了的鍋一樣亂，歡呼聲，尖叫聲，交織在一起，歡欣雀躍。我也十分期待下一節(jié)的英語課。
終于到了星期五。“下一節(jié)課就是英語課了”！這時(shí)，教室里又亂了。“太棒了！太棒了”！有的人還拍著桌子，大叫。“太好了！太好了”！上課的鈴聲似乎比以往更響了。可是等了五分鐘，還不見英語老師的人影。“難道今天又什么事不能來給我們上課”？我忐忑不安的想著。同學(xué)們把剛剛笑開了花的臉都低了下去，垂頭喪氣，大失所望。
就在這時(shí)，突然，聽見走廊里有清脆的腳步聲，“啊！是英語老師！太好了！”，教室里又開始?xì)g呼起來了。“同學(xué)們，對(duì)不起來晚了，我們快一點(diǎn)學(xué)完這些單詞，好快點(diǎn)做游戲”。“好”，同學(xué)們響亮的回答。才用了三十五分鐘，我們就將兩屏的單詞全部都搞定了。學(xué)完之后，我們開始玩游戲了，同學(xué)們一個(gè)個(gè)都興奮不已，這真是一節(jié)成功的英語課。
