Self-confidence
There are many factors that can contribute to a person’s success in life. Whether he is at school or at work, a person is more likely to succeed if he is hard-working, honest, intelligent, responsible, and so on. But of all the possible characteristics that can affect one’s success, I believe self-confidence to be the most important for the following reasons. The first reason is that when a person has self-confidence he believes in himself. He believes that he can and will succeed, and this gives him the courage to try new things. In order to be successful we must be willing to take some risks, so having self-confidence is very important. Another reason is that a confident person rarely gives up. When he fails he tries again and again until he wins. A final reason is that confident people are not afraid to show off their achievements. This is not to say that they should brag, but that they should gracefully and confidently accept the compliments of others. When their achievements are noticed more by others at school or work, they are more likely to succeed. In short, I believe self-confidence to be the most important factor in success. It enables people to take risks, try again when they fail, and enjoy their accomplishments when they win. With these abilities, a confident person can succeed easily at school or work. 參考譯文：自信
促成一個人成功的因素有很多。不論是念書或工作，如果可以努力、誠實、聰明、負(fù)責(zé)任等，就比較有可能成功。但在所有可能影響成功與否的'特點中，基于下列理由，我認(rèn)為自信最重要。
第一個理由就是，當(dāng)一個人有自信的時候，就會相信自己的能力。他會相信自己可以而且一定會成功，這一點讓他有勇氣嘗試新事物。想要成功，我們必須愿意冒險，所以有自信是很重要的。另一個理由是，有信心的人很少放棄，即使失敗了，還是會不斷嘗試，直到成功。最后一個理由是，有信心的人不怕炫耀自己的成就，這并不表示他們應(yīng)該自夸，而是應(yīng)該優(yōu)雅、有信心地接受別人的贊美。當(dāng)他們在學(xué)業(yè)或工作上的成就更受人注目時，成功的可能性就更高了。
簡言之，我認(rèn)為自信是成功最重要的因素。自信使人勇于冒險，失敗了會再接再厲，成功時能享受自己的成就。有了這些能力，有信心的人就能夠輕易地在學(xué)業(yè)或工作上獲得成功。
On Confidence
As we all know,“Failure is the mother of success.” But I just want to say“Success is the baby of confidence.”
First of all, confidence makes us happier in our life. Life is like a wonderful song, a bright and colorful painting. If confidence is with us in our life, we will find that life really becomes richer and more interesting. Then, confidence makes us brave and courageous. If we lack confidence in ourselves, how can we overcome difficulties we meet with？If we have no confideuce in ourselves, how can we succeed in developing ourselves in the future？Without confidence, nothing can be accomplished. That is to say, if you want to win, you have to believe in yourself. Finally, I would like to use the following words as our mutual
encouragement：“If you think you can, you can.”
論自信
眾所周知，“失敗是成功之母”，但是，我只想說：“成功是自信之子。
首先，自信使我們的生活更幸福。生活宛如一首動聽的歌，一幅色彩繽紛的圖畫，假如生命中有了自信-，我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)生活會變得更豐富，更有趣。
其次，自信能使我們變得英勇無比。假如我們?nèi)狈ψ孕牛敲慈绾稳タ朔龅降睦щy呢？假如沒有自信，又如何在未來成功地發(fā)展自己呢？沒有自信，你就不可能做咸任何事情，也就是說，如果你想成功，你必須相信自己！
